چکیده

Graphs are used in modeling interconnections networks and measuring their properties. Knowing and understanding the graph theoretical/combinatorial properties of the underlying networks are necessary in developing more efficient parallel algorithms as well as fault-tolerant communication/routing algorithms [1] The hypercube is one of the most versatile and efficient networks yet discovered for parallel computation. One generalization of the hypercube is the n-cube Q(n,m) which is a graph whose vertices are all the binary ntuples, such that two vertices are adjacent whenever they differ in exactly m coordinates. The k-subgraph of the Generalized n-cube Qk(n,m) is the induced subgraph of the n-cube Q(n,m) where q=2, such that a vertex v ∈ V(Qk(n,m)) if and only if v ∈ V(Q(n,m)) and v is of parity k. This paper presents some degree properties of Qk(n,m) as well as some isomorphisms it has with other graphs, namely: 1) ) 2 , ( 1 n Qn− is isomorphic to Kn 2) ) 2 , ( i n Qk is isomorphic to Gi(n,k) 3) QS(n,2i) is isomorphic to SGi(n) . An n-dimensional hypercube, Q_n, is a graph in which vertices are binary strings of length n where two vertices are adjacent if they differ in exactly one coordinate. Hypercubes and their subgraphs have a lot of applications in different fields of science, specially in computer science. This is the reason why they have been investigated by many authors during the years. Some of their subgraphs ...

Partial cubes as subdivision graphs and as generalized Petersen graphs

Isometric subgraphs of hypercubes are known as partial cubes. The subdivision graph of a graph G is obtained from G by subdividing every edge of G. It is proved that for a connected graph G its subdivision graph is a partial cube if and only if every block of G is either a cycle or a complete graph. Regular partial cubes are also considered. In particular it is shown that among the generalized ...

The Evolution of Large Components in Random Induced Subgraphs of N-cubes

In this paper we study random induced subgraphs of binary n-cubes, Qn2 . This random graph is obtained by selecting each vertex with independent probability λn. Using a novel construction of sub components we study the evolution of the largest component for λn = 1+χn n , where χn tends to zero. Our main result is that for χn = ǫn a−1 2 , ǫ > 0 and arbitrary 1 ≥ a > 0 there exists a.s. an unique...

Generalized Fibonacci cubes

Generalized Fibonacci cube Qd(f) is introduced as the graph obtained from the d-cube Qd by removing all vertices that contain a given binary string f as a substring. In this notation the Fibonacci cube Γd is Qd(11). The question whether Qd(f) is an isometric subgraph of Qd is studied. Embeddable and nonembeddable infinite series are given. The question is completely solved for strings f of leng...

Graceful labelings of the generalized Petersen graphs

A graceful labeling of a graph $G=(V,E)$ with $m$ edges is aninjection $f: V(G) rightarrow {0,1,ldots,m}$ such that the resulting edge labelsobtained by $|f(u)-f(v)|$ on every edge $uv$ are pairwise distinct. For natural numbers $n$ and $k$, where $n > 2k$, a generalized Petersengraph $P(n, k)$ is the graph whose vertex set is ${u_1, u_2, cdots, u_n} cup {v_1, v_2, cdots, v_n}$ and its edge set...
